I'm sitting in the Qantas club in Brisbane. Yeah still here, because my parents are moronically early for their flight. *sigh*

So I'm spending Christmas with my Aunt and her partner and Ben (her son) and his wife, Laura. Ben is tres awesome and Laura is so cool (and gorgeous). I just hope they aren't all cutesy-and-cuddly after getting married. Ergh.

Hmmm velll... Saw Amanda last night if only for a few hours. And she left me a couple of things to remember while I'm in adelaide. I'll be there for 5 days. I'm going to miss her. :(

Did my first house-call Thursday at work. Fitting and shortening blinds. Now I can actually know what the hell I'm yabbering about when I'm telling customers "Yeah, it's easy! Just pull this out, and tighten this up and yank that out and chuck it away cos it's really useless and then... VOILA! The finished product: You have a broken blind."
It wasn't that hard really, but it was an art of sorts to get it right so that it didn't take a muscle-man to tilt the bloody thing. Also helps if the fitter knows what he's doing, but thats probably asking a little much.... especially so close to christmas. Our usual fitter was flat-strap so we got this other guy in. In a nut shell: he sucked. He made it really hard for us (being Glenda and I) to fix what he had stuffed up.

It was also a panic to get some other people to come in and take our place at the store, so we could go help Sue (she needed all the help she could get with this fitter guy).

But anyhooo. It was a nice duplex in Paddington with a view of the city. Stupid bloody street to get into though. The street split into two, one lane following the hill, the other parallel lane down the valley, with random off-shoots that would suddenly climb the side of the cliff. But He was renting it out anyway.

Probably should be boarding soon. 8:30 to Melbourne. Ciao baby!

I have just burnt the three fingertips on my right hand. I hate ironing :(.... Lol. And I'm not really that stupid to put it on my hand, I just reached for the iron without looking where the handle was. Turns out it was on the other side :P

Went out clubbing last night. Fun but very destructive.

I feel like being cryptic....

updates, craziness

Wednesday, 06 December 2006

Well Monday work was fun!! I nearly crashed into someone on the way TO work, and once I got there proceeded to:
Scrape my finger
Deal with a customer whose blind was cutdown wrong (many apologies)
Take blind from customer, later knocking it over and breaking a sign and our torch battery (many more apologies)
Put my back out carting around said blinds
And finally, on closing; a customer came in to collect some lace I had specially ordered from the supplier for her. First, it was late because I signed the delivery sheet saying 2 parcels when I only got one, and thus was lost on the delivery truck. Finally Margaret chased them up, and the customer comes in, looks once at it: "That's not what I wanted"
Me: "Oh shit..."
Apparently she showed me a picture of a different packet. Swags, not balloons and tails. Another very rare item which we will also have to order in for her. And now we have to sell the balloons and tails. Bugger. Thus multitudes more apologies, both for lateness AND misunderstanding, despite my own feeling of 'fuck you all'.

Manda bought me season 2 of House!! YAY!!! So we kinda opened it early and watched a couple of episodes Monday night, and I stayed over unexpectedly. My parents didn't like that too much but oh well....

Visited Dee and Dan yesterday. Had no fucking clue about half the train station names out that way... Lol. But made it ok. And I held Dee's baby Cooper!! He's so gorgeous and so little :D :D Hehe, I felt very maternal. Which is kinda scary...

Hmmm today I went shopping with Mum for work clothes and stuff and will be heading to Morayfield soon.

FUTURE!!!

Tomorrow lunching and then working.

Friday, Saturday and Sunday working. MONEY!!

Saturday night going out to the Valley. Yahoo!! *dance dance*

Ciao Ciao for now.
