I really should update this more often.... There ya go. Two posts on one day :P

You know that horrible wail that actors do on TV when someone has died? And most people say "Oh, come on! They lay it on waaay too thick. That is terrible acting!" Acting doesn't have quite the same ring to it as the real thing, but it is closer to the truth than the sobbing mother who cries quietly into her hanky. There truly is nothing like the sound of mourning. Its instinctive and raw and unmistakeable. I hate the fact that I know how it sounds, because I've heard it more than once. It's heartbreaking and numbing at the same time.

Enjoy everything while you have it. But I suppose nothing is fully appreciated until it's gone. But live and love like there is no tomorrow to do it.

Anyway, to happier matters.... Uni's going well. Had 2 mid-semester exams this week. One was great. The other I'm not entirely sure, but hey. Roller skating was fun Friday night. It made me realise how unfit I was, and how weak my ankles have become, but I mastered the cross-over, with only a few moments of unbalance. And I didn't fall over. So I'm happy. Manda had a bit of trouble with her knee. Poor baby.

Monday....Well... dancing class was on. I brought my shoes to Manda's with every intention of going. But didn't. Oh well. Did a bit of weights last night to make up for it.

Poster for my Haemophilus influenzae research is underway. Found out the strains I'm working on definately don't have the gene. Meanwhile I had to 4 days of work to figure that out. Stupid bacteria.

Uncle Dave is living with us again. He's on oxygen, and I don't think they have or ever will turn on his pacemaker. That's what smoking does to you, kids.

We have taps, sinks, toilets, and shower heads for the new house now. Its going to be awesome funky. I just have to figure out paint colour for my feature wall.

Thinking of getting a new phone. Caps give me better rates than stupid telstra rip-off atm. I worked out I spent $90 on my phone this month. Its just a waste when I can get it cheaper.

craziness, emotional crap

Trying to do a prac. Due today. Bored like crazy. Rah!!

Nothin much has been happening.

Ekka thurs was pretty fun. Free stuff and lychee muscat and wine tastings and teddy bears and fireworks.

Lano and Woodley's last hurrah Friday. It was ok. Not hilarious, but pretty good. Stayed at Manda's the night.

Work Saturday and Sunday.

Went to Lone Star last night for Dad's birthday (which is today).

Round my uncles for my cousin's bday tonight.

Oh and last saturday was dancing at wickham and family and meeting up with Dan and John and Lance (not such a good meeting with Lance. Idiot)

I can't believe I'm at uni at this hour. Too early! *curls into a ball and falls back to sleep. But yay for warm computer labs on cold cold winter days.

Well uncles party was not too bad surprisingly. Danced with cousins and parents, and laughed at drunk cousins and surprised uncle, and ate very good cake and roast. Twas good.

Mint Launch was hell awesome. Played pool (which took some skill, partially because of the stupid positioning of the table, being way too close to the wall and the louvers on the other side, and slightly tilted, so all the balls travelled 30cm further up one end, or swerved mid-shot. Also partially because of alcohol consumed meant my aim was shit. But I still won!!)

Stupid me forgot my 8am lecture was cancelled. Not happy Jan...

Work has started on the house. Pegs have been laid out where things are, and the plumber is coming later this week.

Blergh still got my cold, but better than yesterday. Going to see a doctor if it doesn't clear up soon.

Stayed at Manda's Friday and Saturday night while her parents were away. Watched Kinky boots DVD (nawww. omg so cuuuute. Go see it. Now!!)

Friday is my uncle's surprise birthday party. I'm still not sure what exactly is wrong with his health. I think he has some sort of pancreas disease or cancer or something. But he's getting treatment, and hopefully he should be feeling good for his party.

Saturday is Mint launch at the Wickham!! Yay!! Hopefully should be fun with catching up of friends I haven't seen in a while. And dancing. Muahaha.

Pracs and stuff due. Prob should start on that. Nowish. Meh, when I get home.

*sigh* lecture on now.
